Anthracite Mining History Month Presentation- Pittston’s Social & Industrial History

Please join us Friday, January 11 in the Cosgrove Room of the Pittston Memorial Library for an Anthracite Mining History Month presentation entitled “Pittston’s Social and Industrial History”. You will not want to miss this event with the panel of speakers that will be assembled!

The speakers include local author Mr. F. Charles Petrillo presenting “The North Branch Canal”; local author and educator Dr. Robert Wolensky presenting “The Early Pennsylvania Coal Company”; local historian and former Executive Director of the Luzerne County Historical Society Mr. Tony Brooks presenting “The Butler Family and Their Coal Business” and local railroad historian and current railroad engineer Mr. Ed Philbin presenting “The West Pittston & Exeter Railroad and the Stanton Power Plant”.
