Thank you to everyone who came to the Book Presentation for October ~ “Fighting for the Union Label:The ILGWU in Pennsylvania”. Co-author Professor Bob Wolensky and Marie Capolarella-Montante were very informative!
Thank you everyone who was part of the Kayak Trip in July. We were OVERWHELMED by the response of well over 70 + reservations. WE appreciate the hard work of Endless Mountain Outfitters who did a tremendous job ushering everyone on this trip. Many people expressed how interesting the stop was at the Frances Dorrance Chapter of Archaeology’s dig site (The Conrail site) in Duryea. Special thanks to Richard Fitzsimmons, who also received many kudos. Mr Fitzimmons is a local river historian of Harding from the North Branch Land Trust and former Penn State professor, who spoke at the lunch. We can’t THANK everyone involved enough for helping making this a successful FIRST run! We hope to build and improve on this experience and make it an annual fund raising event for the society. SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!
