October 16 – Paint-n-Pinot fundraiser! Many thanks to everyone who came out to paint with us! As usual, it was a fun night out with wine and creativity. Special thanks to Jeff of Paint-N-Pinot for being such a great host.

Hope everyone enjoyed the trip. We had a beautiful day.The group was guided by Art Coolbaugh from Susquehanna Kayak rentals and started the day launching in Falls, Pa. A stop was made along the way with a presentation on local river history made by Jan Lokuta. The tour continued on with a 2nd stop at the Frances Dorrance Archaeological dig site for a tour and lunch. From there it was only 1 more mile to the end of the tour on the shores of West Pittston.

MAY 29,(Friday) Old photos slide presentation. Free and open to the public. Begins 7pm at Highland Manor Nursing and Convalescent Center, 750 Schooley Ave, Exeter, (18643). Thanks to everyone who came out. The residents really enjoy the photos and taking a trip down memory lane!

MARCH 19 – ‘Project Preserve” – Leadership Wilkes-Barre hosted a fund raiser for GPHS at Susquehanna Brewing Company. Several eating establishments donated food to the gala event. Entertainment was provided by The Sperazza Band. The night was filled with fun, food, drinks, music and raffles to raise money to outfit the new home of the Greater Pittston Historical Society at the Pittston Memorial Library! We SOLD OUT!
