From GPHS #Archives – 1850 Eagle #Hotel Built

1850 – a monumental year for building new things in Pittston. One of those new things being built was the Eagle Hotel located on the west side of North Main Street where the Geisinger Urgent Care now stands. George Lazarus would build and run the hotel for years before it changed hands a few times. The hotel would eventually be torn down in 1924 to make room for the building of the American Theater of the Comerford Theater chain.
