1976 newsprint clipping from the Sunday Dispatch Bicentennial Edition. The first set of clipping covers general Jenkins Township history from the late 1700’s to the mid 1800’s. This includes information about the earliest inhabitants, early coal interests, the villages of Jenkins, Captain Blanchard, Colonel John Jenkins, Inkerman, and finally Sevastpol. The last clipping briefly covers how each original colony was named.
