One of our Greater Pittston Historical Society members recently “discovered” the 1976 Pittston Area Key Club Scrapbook and made it available for viewing by the general public. The Greater Pittston Historical Society will eventually acquire the physical artifact and add it to its collection. The book is in good condition and features descriptions and pictures of Key Club projects and activities the club did during the 1975-1976 school year. The book was entered in the Scrapbook Contest at the Pennsylvania District Key Club Convention. Does anyone remember if it won? We hope you enjoy this walk down memory lane. Could you be in one of the many photos? Check it out and let us know.
Our Mission is to discover, collect, study, organize, preserve and display the history of Greater Pittston and to make that history available to the general public, public schools, researchers and historians. If you have any artifacts or old photos that you don’t know to do with, and no one wants them, consider donating them to the Greater Pittston Historical Society. Contact us for details.
As a Disabled Vietnam Military Veteran I graduated from the Hughestown Borough High School in 1963 and enlisted in the US Navy after graduation. Looking for pictures, documents, anything from the years 1950’s up to the year it became Pittston Area schools. I am not interested in Pittston Area schools.
