  1. how about the surrounding towns ,would like to see pics

    • Hi Herbert,

We would like to post photos of surrounding towns. We’re posting what we have from the negatives and the photographs donated to us by the Sunday Dispatch, but most of them were taken in Pittston City. As the public sends us copies or donates photos of other towns we do post them. We’ve recently added Mr. Al Michalec to our administrative staff for the Facebook page and he’s posting photos of his own, many of which are from the Jenkins Twp., Inkerman and Yatesville areas. We are always interested in more old photos from the public, so if you or someone you know has some please let us scan them into our collections. We’ll return them and only keep the electronic version unless the owner would like to donate them.

      Sincerely,
      Ron Faraday
      President
      Greater Pittston Historical Society
